The COFUND program supports new or existing doctoral and postdoctoral fellowship schemes, promoting MSCA best practices such as international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary research training and mobility for researchers at all career stages.
Key features include:
– Programs can cover any research disciplines, but may focus on specific areas aligned with national or regional RIS3 strategies.
– Flexibility is encouraged, allowing researchers to define their topics.
– Funding synergies with Cohesion policy funds and the Recovery and Resilience Facility are encouraged.
COFUND consists of Doctoral and Postdoctoral Programmes, each requiring a Career Development Plan for recruited researchers. This plan, established at recruitment and updated within 18 months, addresses research objectives, training needs, transferable skills, teaching, and engagement activities.
