The Interreg Sudoe Program supports regional development in southwestern Europe by financing transnational projects through the ERDF Fund. Thus, it promotes transnational cooperation to solve problems common to this territory, such as low investment in research and development, the low competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies and exposure to climate change and environmental risks.
The Interreg Sudoe Program (short for Interreg V-B Southwest European Cooperation Programme) was approved by the European Commission on June 18, 2015, with a budget of 141 million euros. The full text is available in Spanish, French, Portuguese and English.
