The training session will address the complexities of managing EU-funded projects. It will commence with an overview of the European funding landscape, followed by a deeper focus on managing Horizon Europe projects. Adopting a practical approach, the session will integrate general project management strategies with the specific requirements of European programs to ensure compliance with funding regulations. Participants will receive guidance on budgeting and financial reporting. The objective is to provide project managers with specific knowledge to effectively lead research and innovation projects, optimizing the use of EU funding while maintaining financial integrity and efficiency.

Speaker: Cristina Pérez
Cristina Pérez is a project manager with over 15 years in the development of international projects, currently assisting researchers at the Communication Faculty and the Knowledge Technology Institute of Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She is actively managing three Horizon Europe projects and two Erasmus+ projects at UCM. In addition to her role at the university, Cristina is the general manager of her own company, where she leads marine engineering projects and conducts marine environmental studies across Europe and South America. Her expertise in both academic and commercial project management underscores her ability to drive successful research and innovation initiatives.
