Objectives
The Promove Program aims to support innovative initiatives in strategic areas for the development of inland regions with border dynamics and that can be replicated in other regions with similar characteristics.
The 2024 edition supports three types of initiatives:
– Innovative pilot projects;
– Mobilizing R&D projects;
– Ideas with the potential to become innovative pilot projects.
Project selection
In the case of the pilot project competition and the ideas competition, the Programme will support projects in the following thematic areas:
Prevention of natural risks and strengthening of capacities to adapt to climate change and efficient management of resources, particularly in cross-border ecosystems.
Creation or consolidation of business activity and innovation hubs that contribute to training and attracting qualified human resources to the region and that have the potential to be present in external markets.
Valuation of symbolic capital and the capacity for international recognition with regard to the environmental, landscape and heritage added value of the territories, contributing to the attraction of tourists and new residents.
