Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in STEM Research – Building an Inclusive Community

The aim of the workshop is to stimulate fundamental debates on equality (in its various aspects), diversity and inclusion, particularly in the STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), recognizing diversity as a driving force for innovation and progress in academic and professional communities. The event will be divided into three distinct moments: a session to share good practices and projects related to equality, diversity and inclusion issues (in the morning); a discussion to explore and clarify what equality, diversity and inclusion mean to each participant (in the afternoon); and finally, a short activity to learn more about self-defense (also in the afternoon).
