Horizonte Europa is the European Union’s research and innovation program for the period 2021 to 2027, succeeding Horizon 2020. The program has a budget of €95.5 billion, which will be used to finance research and innovation in various areas, including climate, energy, health, digitization, security, among others.
The program will be implemented in three main pillars: Excellent Science, Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness and Open Innovation. Horizon Europe offers funding opportunities for researchers, companies and scientific institutions across Europe and globally. In this STEP Talk! topics related to opportunities in the areas of Pillar III, focused on innovation in engineering and technology, as well as the requirements for submitting applications will be addressed.
The National Innovation Agency is a Portuguese government body funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. Its objective is to promote innovation and technological development, in addition to facilitating cooperation between research and industry.
